The Learning Fund is a non-profit organization that raises funds to bridge the gap between public funding our school receives and the true cost of the full educational experience we all want for our students at Green Valley Elementary. The Green Valley Learning Fund Board is made up of elected parent volunteers, appointed teachers and our Principal.

Music and Performing Arts
School wide program led by a credentialed music teacher. Children experience the joy and benefits of music through vocal music and instruments and learn the fundamentals of music including reading music, composing and arranging music, improvising melodies, listening to and analyzing music, evaluating music, understanding relationships between music and other curricular areas, and in relation to history and culture. Performances are held throughout the year.
Para Educators
Provide valuable education support for teachers with 1:1 assistance and small group instruction.
Computer Instruction, Equipment, Support and Materials
Leads computer instruction for all students' provides critical technology administration and support for the campus computer equipment, funds supplies, materials, upgrades, and training.
Reading Program
Reading support for students in grades K-5. This reduces class sizes for reading instruction; guides and creates classroom reading curriculum; provides specialized training for teaching staff.
Librarian
Provides a rich library experience for all students at Green Valley with weekly visits to the library for all students.
Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA, also called Assistant Principal)
Provides valuable administrative support' assists in teacher training and coaching' manages student relations' leads student success team meetings, manages Community builders Program.
These are the programs and services that the Learning Fund has committed to fund. The projected budget for the 2015-2016 school year is estimated at $289,700 and the requested per student donation this year is $595.
Please consider making a donation of this amount for each of your children attending Green Valley to cover the cost of the Learning Fund provided services for your child (or children).
